Hello, I have a problem with the gauge lights on my instrument panel. They are completely off, and unresponsive to the dimmer switch when the headlights are on and off. In know the dimmer switch works because it adjusts the brightness of my radio display and center console lights. I have a 2012 Sentra e. This problem occurred after I replaced the brakelight switch. During/before the repair i did a number of things trying to troubleshoot the problem including; 1) taking out the battery, letting it reset and putting it back in. 2) checking the fuses. 3) using the manual override on the shifter to get the thing out of park. I successfully replaced the brakelight switch, which fixed my issue of the tail lights not responding to the brake pedal, being unable to get the thing out of park, and the abs / traction control lights being on in my instrument panel. This new problem showed up after the fix. at first i thought it had to do with stored memory, like how i had to re program my radio stations and auto door lock feature.
